Almost done here.. still a few little details I see now that it's on the screen. Not sure if I should take the darks darker, or leave them be. I'll put it in the studio and stare at it a while...make that decision in a few days.
Back to working on pears and crystal.
The daisies are charming. Often when I am working on a picture, I put it somewhere where I can walk past and give it a glance now and then. A quick look seems to tell me more about what it needs than a long hard stare. Or, I show it to my daughter. She sees things right away!
ReplyDeleteYour daisies are lovely and in my opinion they need nothing more from the paintbrush.
It's always such a pleasure to watch a painting come together.
ReplyDeleteTry looking at it through a mirror.

Beth, I love this painting very much. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDoris
beautiful :)
ReplyDeletehow do you like my mom's watercolors?
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeth, Your glass sparkles with realism! How do you do that? My glass always tends towards the blue hues. The blue cloth really "pops out" the jar and the daisies. The background is lovely and gives another texture to the piece. I am in awe of your abilities with this medium!
ReplyDeleteBeth, Another comment from me.... The darker colors on the left side's background captured the feeling of light you were looking for! May I ask if you use white watercolor paint, or do you save your whites? Again, this is a wonderful painting!
